Next time you are at the market I recommend picking up some fresh herb plants. Whatever you use a lot of - buy the plants to grow at home. If you don’t have a small piece of outdoor garden space, place them in pots inside the house. You can even place three of four herb plants in one pot! If course, don’t forget to water them! 

As you cook, there are find unlimited uses for the herbs and you will save money in the end. When I cook dinner in the summer, I almost always take a trip outside to cut fresh herbs for the meal I am preparing. My garden includes parsley, chives, plenty of basil, thyme, dill, and rosemary. I also have a patch of fresh mint. I stopped growing oregano because it took over everything else. I use these herbs often and I delight in having them on hand whenever I want. Of course, fresh herbs add so much more flavor to your foods than dried spices. Try it! These plants don’t take up much space and you can’t beat the freshness.
